What is the difference between a Charter and a Private Party?

A Charter is when you have the entire vessel for your group’s exclusive use.

A Private Party is when you plan to utilize one of the four main dining areas exclusively (minimums do apply). We offer packages specifically designed for weddings aboard scheduled cruises.

Can we see the boat in advance?

Yes of course, you can schedule a visit with the sales office to come and see the boats in person and talk things over. A 360 degree virtual tour is available on our website. Check out the Lac du Saint Sacrement tour or the Mohican tour.

How do I schedule an appointment to come see the boats and talk things over?

Either call 1-800-553-2628 extension 209, email [email protected], or fill out our web inquiry form.

What are the Advantages to having a wedding on the boat versus in a banquet hall?

The shape of the boat directs (and concentrates) the focus to the bride and groom and their celebration.

The spectacular, ever-changing lake vistas, as the boat sails along, offer picturesque backdrops for photos.

There are no “distractions” – no one leaves, everyone has a front row seat, no one is in the back of the hall, everyone is included.

What could be more Memorable than a wedding on the Queen of American Lakes on our Elegant and Classic Hudson Dayliner style Lac du Saint Sacrement or the Timeless and Intimate Mohican?

Can we decorate the vessel?

Reasonable decoration of the vessel is allowed, no open flames are permitted. Contact the sales office for further details.

Are the boats handicap accessible?

The Lac du Saint Sacrement is fully handicap accessible with a lift that can go up to the third deck, and handicap bathrooms on the first two decks. The Mohican has limited handicap accessibility, to the first deck only.

Can the Captain perform our ceremony?

Yes, we have a Captain who is a licensed officiant for the state of New York, able to perform ceremonies at the Steel Pier in Lake George Village.

Where do you hold the wedding ceremony?

All ceremonies that are performed aboard the vessel, take place on the third deck stern overlooking the crystal clear waters of Lake George.

If there is inclement weather that day, we would hold the ceremony inside on the dance floor.

Can we use our own caterer?

No, there is no need to. The Lac du Saint Sacrement has a full onboard galley which enables us to prepare all the food onsite.

Are the boats air-conditioned?

The Lac du Saint Sacrement is fully air-conditioned.

The Mohican is not air-conditioned but does have windows that open to get a nice breeze from the lake.

Where will my guests park?

We have a parking lot across the street (fee may apply), with handicap parking on the pier.

Is entertainment included in the package?

If you go on a regularly scheduled cruise, live entertainment is included. If you charter the vessel you are responsible for providing your own entertainment. The sales office can provide you with a list of local DJ’s and Bands.

How flexible are you with the packages that you offer?

Our goal is for you to have the wedding of your dreams. If our packages do not meet your needs, we will work with you to customize a package that does.

Can the boat pick us up anywhere else than the pier in the Village?

The Mohican has the unique capability of picking up passengers in Bolton Landing (Rogers Park/ Bolton Town Dock), Silver Bay, Hague, and Baldwin (Ticonderoga). There is an additional fee to go to these locations, the sales office would be happy to make those arrangements. Please note that our Captain can only officiate ceremonies at the Steel Pier in Lake George Village.
